What age do English bulldogs stop growing?
Every English bulldog is different. Some may stop growing sooner while others may stop growing later. However, there is always an average. Most English bulldogs will stop growing by the time they turn one year of age. But they may continue to fill out in their chest and add on some weight until they’re about two years old.
The first six months of their life is when they experience the most growth. That means the next six months will be slower, and you’ll be less likely to notice significant growth. But don’t let that worry you. According to Care.com, all dogs are about 75% grown by the time they reach six months.
English bulldog growth chart
Keeping an eye on your English bulldog’s weight and height can give you a clue into their overall health. Of course, each dog is different, so don’t panic if your pup doesn’t match these numbers exactly. Additionally, males and females will have different weights and heights (males are typically larger than females). While this growth chart can be a handy guide, it’s always good to consult your veterinarian about your English bulldog puppy’s health.
