Tri Color English Bulldogs
No two English bulldogs are alike, both in personality and in looks. Some have solid white coats all around, while others have splotches of red across their body. There are even some that have three colors. Known as tri color, these types of English bulldogs are a sight to behold.
What is a tri colored English bulldog?
The term tri colored refers to an English bulldog whose coat carries three different colors. This is an extremely rare occurrence, as most English bulldogs are either one or two colors. In a tri colored dog, the third color can range anywhere from light fawn to golden brown, and it will only appear as “points” in certain areas, such as:
- Above the eyes
- On the cheeks
- Along the inner area or front of the legs
- Either side (or both sides) of the upper chest.
The different tri colored patterns
There is a lot of variation when it comes to tri color English bulldogs. Not only can the third color appear in different areas of the body, but it can also come in different shades. There are six main tri colored patterns that we at Bulldog Angels breed for, with the lilac tri color being the rarest of all. They are:
- Dark chocolate
- Tri trindle (where the points show a brindle pattern).
